Tracey's Story on Goals for a Cure Blog

Sporting ’93 Girls Team Mom, Tracy Aguilar has been out every weekend with the girls selling shaved ice and GFaC merchandise every weekend to help raise GFaC funds and raise awareness about breast cancer. Tracy is a breast cancer survivor and is writting a book to share her experience. Thanks Tracy!

It is a joy to see a community pull together to support such a wonderful cause. Twelve years ago this month I was given six months to live. With a 6 month old baby, 2 year old and 4 year old it was a devastating diagnosis. After many procedures including two stem cell transplants, I am a testament to the fact that every little bit helps. As a survivor I am thankful to all of you and your efforts. Research needs to continue and early detection is the best weapon for women today. If we continue to fight this disease one community at time, surely we will see a cure.

Tracey Aguilar (Mom from SC Sporting 93G White Team)
