The Santa Clara Youth Soccer League is a member of the US Youth Soccer (USYS) participating in USYS Region IV, California Youth Soccer Association (CYSA-N) and District II. The league offers four levels of soccer: Class 4 Recreational soccer, Class 3 Comp Soccer, Class 1 Select Soccer, and TOP Soccer provides a youth soccer experience for children with special needs.

The Santa Clara Strikers '96 (U14) Boys Class 3 competitive team competed in the 10th Annual Santa Clara Rotary Cup on Aug 21-22nd, and ended the 2-day tournament as Finalists in the U14 Age Group.The Strikers won all 3 of their first round games by scores of 2-1, 3-0 and 2-1 to qualify for the championship game. The Strikers played the 49er United Strike in the championship and lost 0-1 in a closely contested match to take 2nd place in the tournament. Congratulations to the team for a great effort and the Strikers wish to thank the Santa Clara Rotary for another great tournament.

Santa Clara Youth Soccer & Santa Clara Sporting have partnered with the FC Gold Pride to make the Pride’s September 11th home game a night for SCYSL/SC Sporting at Pioneer Stadium in Hayward. All SCYSL and Santa Clara Sporting Teams are encouraged to join the fun and watch some world class soccer right here in our backyard.

Grab you family, your friends and your soccer teammates and go watch some world class soccer right in our backyard! Get to the game early and participate in all their pre-game soccer activities, watch some awesome soccer skills, then get some autographs after the game. SCYSL has partnered with the FC Gold Pride professional soccer teams to provide our membership with special discount tickets to attend their home games.

 Congratulations to Demitri Cacoyannis, who received the 2010 CYSA District II "Coach of the Year Award" last weekend at the Annual CYSA Expo.  Demitri is one extremely busy "Soccer Dad" who coaches the Santa Clara Sporting 95 (U14) Boys Team, the Santa Clara Sporting 99 (U10) Girls Green Team, and the Santa Clara Sporting 99 (U10) White Team.  Last year was a banner year...

Six SCYSL Referees received 2009 Referee of the Year Awards from the SJSRA on December 1, 2009. Awardees include: Jorge Valverde, Elizabeth Zigon, Carlos Hernandez, Angelica Morales-Barajas, Jackie Algas-Sasaki and John Antonicic. The awardees were presented plaques and had the opportunity to meet National Referees Philippe Dor and Peter Fletcher and FIFA referee Jennifer Bennett. Congratulations to all the SCYSL Referees!
