9 Santa Clara Sporting Players Recruited to Collegiate Soccer Teams

Congratulations to the nine student-athletes from the Santa Clara Sporting ’92 Boys and ’93 Girls Teams that signed their National Letter of Intent on February 2nd and committed to playing soccer in college.

Congratulations to the five 2011 high school graduates from the Santa Clara Sporting ’92 Boys soccer team who signed their National Letter of Intent letter on Tuesday, February 2nd.  Head Coach Dana Taylor from California State Stanislaus recruited four very talented players to compete for his Warriors soccer team. Joining CSU Stanislaus are: Erik Brasil (Goalie, Evergreen High School), Henry Erazo (Center Back Defender, Lincoln High School), Alex Valdovinos (Goalie, James Logan High School), and Julian O’Dell (Left Back Defender, St. Mary’s High School in Stockton). TheUniversity of San Francisco recruited Chris Porras (Forward, Johansen High School) to join their 2011 roster.  


Four 2011 high school graduated from the Santa Clara Sporting ’93 Girls Team that signed their National Letter of Intent to play college soccer. The following student-athletes will graduate in May and compete for the following schools: Alana Sooy - UC Irvine, Erika Emmanuel, Army, Cheryl Tom - California Stat University Monterey Bay, and Kelly Skelton - California State University Chico. Congratulations to the players and their parents, and to the Sporting coach and team manager.
